 At Bike Adventures, our vision is to inspire and empower people to lead healthier, happier lives through cycling. We believe that cycling is not just a means of transportation, but a way of life that promotes physical and mental wellbeing. 

We are committed to engaging our community in a meaningful and responsible way fostering a culture of care, sense of responsibility and a safety net within  community.  

Our mission is to build relationships,  empower others,  connect resources, share information and strengthen communities . We ride for PEACE , LOVE & SOLIDARITY! . 

 We bring people together to experience the joy of riding  their bikes through the community as away  to destress, know their neighbors, and be inspired to live healthy lifestyles.  We build confidence, leadership, knowledge and sense of community by teaching bike safety skills to all ages. 

Integrity is about acting with honesty, transparency and accountability even when no one is looking.  It means recognizing that our community makes us and our lives better, de-centering ourselves, and expressing gratitude to others. And it means taking commitments seriously, being proactive when we don’t understand our responsibilities and, ultimately, being accountable for our actions.

Bike Adventures is a strength-based organization. We support, trust and empower our members and communities. We are committed to developing the confidence of talents and capabilities. We encourage mentorship, shared learning, workshops, and communities of practice that are informed by the needs of the communities we live in and support.

We lead with a racial equity lens to  eliminate inequities in community health outcomes  and in mobility and transportation access. Bicycles are a tool for liberation. We believe in fair treatment, access, opportunity and the advancement for all people with a focus on black communities. 

Bike Adventures  supports initiatives to address our climate crisis and protect the environment and health of our neighborhoods. We use bikes to reduce air pollution and connect communities towards a green economy. 

We recognize that it is necessary to incorporate social justice ideals into our work, by promoting respectful forms of collaboration, giving voice to those who have been silenced, and decolonizing our actions.

We create opportunities for people to come together by removing barriers and fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness.  It is the stepping stones to creating equitable and sustainable communities.  Through these rides we share power, resources and information as a means to enrich lives and form mutually beneficial collaborations and or partnerships.  We serve as the catalyst to  sharing existing strengths  of our partners and participants.
